Making time for my dream

Ugh. What a week! I always keep myself busy, and then I wonder why I always feel like I don't have time to write and do Bible study, the two things I told myself I really wanted to do more frequently this year--and, coincidentally, the two things that are most integral to me successfully accomplishing my Blueprint Chronicles goal.

This week has been no different. It has been long days at work, after which I feel like I can't sit down again and use my brain in that way. I feel like, instead, I straight up deserve to hang out with a girlfriend or have dinner with my boo.

I hate to get all self-helpy, but I gotta ask anyone who might be reading this: is there something that you keep putting off or pushing to the back burner? Maybe it's communicating with loved ones who are not in the same city as you (guilty). Or carving out quiet time for reflection (ahem, yeah). Or exercising (eh... I should, but I don't).

Whatever it is, I hope you find a way to fit in the things that are important to you. We only got one life! That is all for now. Back to work. Thanks for reading.

  2. You're so not alone! I wonder why we do that. This year one of my goals is to apply the lessons I've learned in life. One of those is to let the way I spend my time better reflect my priorities. Thus far, big FAIL on that one. But the year has just begun...

  3. Please let me know if you find out how to prioritize what's important to you, because I haven't been able to do that. I think if we are able to put our personal goals first we will find not only satisfaction, but a sustaining happiness as well.

What I do know is that I work best with deadlines -- maybe if somehow we could give ourselves true deadlines regarding things that are most important they could get done.
